The BFA supports the strategic evolution of Academic Quality and Operational Excellence (AQOE) by serving as a subject matter expert (SME) across both business and functional analysis domains. The role is responsible for understanding business processes, operational requirements, policies, and stakeholder needs while also developing deep expertise in how AQOE‑sponsored platforms can be configured and utilized to support those needs. As the business owner representative for assigned platforms, the BFA operates at the intersection of academic operations, policy and procedure, people, process, and technology.

Working as part of a small team responsible for the lifecycle stewardship of AQOE‑sponsored platforms, the role translates organizational requirements into practical system solutions and helps ensure platforms remain aligned with institutional objectives and operational needs, and end‑users know how to leverage them. Are interested in ongoing stewardship of business systems and platforms, including support, refinement, and adoption after implementation Enjoy working in environments where policy, process, and system considerations intersect, and where requirements may evolve over time Are comfortable facilitating analysis‑driven conversations, documenting decisions, and translating complex requirements into visual materials (e.g., process maps, workflows, configuration models, training aids) to support shared understanding and system adoption Serve as the subject matter expert and business owner representative for assigned AQOE‑sponsored platforms.

Provide ongoing end‑user support, responding to questions, clarifying system behaviour, and identifying training or documentation gaps. Support platforms beyond initial implementation, including business‑led enhancements, refinements, and issue resolution informed by operational use and user feedback. Work closely with academic leaders, operational teams, and Information Technology Services to support effective platform stewardship and system use.
