Job Summary The National Clinical Training Manager – Canada is responsible for clinical training strategy and delivery across Canada for Cynosure Lutronic's portfolio of advanced energy-based aesthetic devices, with flexibility to provide support throughout North America as needed for key accounts or strategic initiatives. This leadership role partners closely with the Canadian Sales organization — actively participating in sales calls, strategic account planning, demos, and customer events to accelerate revenue growth and customer adoption.
A primary focus is building exceptional clinical proficiency within the Canadian training team on key platforms including DermaV (vascular), eCO2 3D (fractional CO2 resurfacing), PicoSure Pro, Hollywood Spectra, LaseMD Ultra, Clarity II, XERF, and Mosaic 3D, enabling superior customer experiences and strong competitive positioning.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role that blends people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and direct field support to drive excellence in clinical education and market success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Clinical Training Leadership – Canada
- Provide leadership for the Clinical Training function across Canada, overseeing Canadian regional teams and ensuring consistent, world-class training experiences that adhere to established SLAs, OLAs,
and KPIs while enhancing customer NPS and CSAT scores.
- Provide flexible support to North American initiatives and key U.S. accounts as business needs require.
Commercial Partnership & Field Support
- Partner closely with Canadian Sales leadership and field representatives to support revenue objectives: participate in strategic sales calls, high-value demos, and key account activities.
- Provide clinical expertise to help progress deals and support conversions, with emphasis on driving adoption of vascular, resurfacing, and picosecond technologies.
- Offer flexible support for key North American opportunities as needed.
Training Program Development & Delivery
- Develop and execute advanced training and upskilling programs (including train-the-trainer) to build deep clinical expertise across the training team on DermaV, eCO2 3D, PicoSure Pro, Hollywood Spectra, Clarity II, LaseMD Ultra, and Mosaic 3D.
- Focus on clinical applications, optimized protocols, patient selection and outcomes, safety, and techniques that deliver differentiated results for customers and patients.
- Work cross-functionally with the digital education team to implement training infrastructure for Canada, including onboarding frameworks, certification programs, SOPs, post-care guides, and clinical education materials that become standards for the Canadian territory.
Team Leadership & Development
- Develop future part-time clinical trainers regionally in Canada, including goal setting, merit reviews, coaching and mentoring (in person and virtual), T&E; oversight, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of structure, accountability, education, and integrity.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D;, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs to align clinical training with product design, launch timelines, clinical evidence generation, and global compliance initiatives.
- Oversee current product introduction from a clinical training perspective: support prototype evaluations, clinical study input, launch planning, and post-market training to accelerate time-to-market and customer proficiency.
Professional Engagement & KOL Partnerships
- Manage Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategies in partnership with Sales and Marketing, supporting clinical trials, symposia, peer-to-peer programs, and physician education that strengthen brand influence and clinical credibility.
Organizational Excellence
- Establish processes to measure and improve training impact on sales success, customer adoption, and team performance; identify transformational opportunities for operational excellence within the clinical training organization.
- Embody and deliver the 'Exceptional Everyday' by fostering a high-performance culture of collaboration, honesty and integrity, continuous improvement, respect for diverse opinions, and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ensure timely completion of all relevant clinical training documentation, assigned training, and expense reporting in adherence to policy.
Qualifications (Select the minimum qualifications required for this position to successfully achieve business requirements)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Education and experience combination:
- Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to three (3)
years of experience
RN, NP, PA, or equivalent clinical background/credential strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent progressive experience); advanced degree or specialized clinical training a plus.
Experience
- 7 to 10 years relevant experience
Specific Related Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in a clinical training, clinical applications, or medical education role within the medical aesthetics or energy-based device industry; Canada or multi-regional scope experience with strong Canada focus strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing clinical training teams or specialists (full-time and part-time).
- Proven track record of effective partnership with Sales and commercial teams to support deal progression, customer conversions, and competitive positioning through clinical excellence and education.
- Hands-on clinical proficiency or deep knowledge of laser and energy-based systems required, with strong preference for experience in vascular lasers, fractional CO2 resurfacing, and/or picosecond laser platforms.
- Experience developing curricula, SOPs, certification programs, and delivering training using adult learning principles; prior involvement in new product launches, clinical studies, or KOL programs highly valued.
- Demonstrated success contributing to revenue growth through optimized training efficiency, customer engagement, and field support.
