CAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hour We are currently hiring for a Casual Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Nurse to join our Primary Health Care team at Peace Arch Hospital located in White Rock, B.Four weeks of vacation to start ~ Immediate enrollment in a defined municipal pension plan ~Conduct nursing assessments and evaluate patient’s functional status and risk factors, develop a care plan, and collaborate with the health care team. Provide nursing supervision during exercise sessions, offering psychosocial support and monitoring patients for abnormalities.

Provide direct nursing care by checking vital signs, applying telemetry, interpreting rhythms, and modifying care plans as needed. Lead response to complications during exercise by initiating emergency care, calling 911, and documenting incidents. Teach patients and families about illness prevention, health maintenance, and health promotion strategies.

Identify learning needs, review them with the Manager, and engage in activities to meet these needs. Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, generating recommendations and conducting safety audits. Act as a clinical resource/support person, explaining nursing decisions and participating in orientation and continuing education.

Provide input to the Manager regarding policies, procedures,



and operational requirements. Graduation from an approved school of Nursing. Two (2) years’ recent related clinical experience in a cardiac rehabilitation workplace, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Effective collaboration with co‑workers, physicians, and other health care staff. Proficiency with medical equipment and supplies.

Knowledge of specialized patient population treatment techniques. Technical competence with related equipment and software applications.
