Become a Caretaker for the City of Hamilton's Children's Museum, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance for a treasured community space. Engage in a variety of cleaning and site preparation tasks. This up to 18-month role reports to the Curator and involves maintaining the museum's facilities, including deep cleaning interiors and grounds. You'll ensure safety and prepare for daily operations and special events, fostering a welcoming setting for all visitors. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning of the museum’s interior spaces
- Monitor and maintain building and grounds conditions
- Report any safety/security deficiencies to the supervisor
- Setup the site for daily functions and special occasions
- Provide access support for contractors and rental services
Requirements:
- Prior experience in maintenance or caretaking is preferred
- Ability to recognize maintenance issues and safety hazards
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and procedures
- Good communication skills for reporting issues
- Strong commitment to cleanliness and safety protocols
