Location: Eastern Zone, Northside General Hospital Department: FMS Plant Maintenance ACD NS Type of Employment: Casual Casual Relief (3%) x 1 Union: UNIFOR Support Position Posting Closing Date: 11-Sep-26 Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Carpenter is responsible for completing repairs/alterations to building structures; for example, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, millwork, abatement, flooring, wall cladding/paneling, gyprocc, etc., while adhering to building, fire, infection prevention and control codes and regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for small in-house renovations and additions, including Infection Prevention and Control hoarding, as required. This work must be done in accordance with all provincial, building, fire, and infection prevention and control codes and regulations; all pertinent hospital policies and procedures must also be adhered to.

Journeyperson

Certificate of Qualification in the Carpentry trade, issued by the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency, or a Certificate of Qualification in the Carpentry trade bearing a Red Seal endorsement Minimum two (2) years' related experience,
