By working at SuperThrift, you will directly contribute to the success of the organization’s mission and be a part of helping to bring freedom within reach for individuals and families overcoming addiction. This role is the last point of contact for customers and will provide a friendly and productive checkout experience.

The role will include: warmly greeting the customer, asking if they found what they were looking for and offering support or solutions, correctly identifying and scanning all merchandise, processing payment, and thanking them for their business. This position will also support customer returns/exchanges and will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well organized front area. Assist customers with checkout and purchase.





Operate checkout equipment including cash register, debit and credit machines and scanners. Process customer payments including cash, credit, debit, coupons and gift certificates. Provide friendly and efficient customer service.

Customer Service

Ensure all customers, donors, and visitors receive courteous, friendly, and efficient service. Resolve customer concerns in a professional and respectful manner and escalated to leadership as required. Greeting customers, offering assistance, answering questions and offering product recommendations.

As required you will cross trained and/or be asked to assist in other areas within the store. Stock shelves with new inventory. Assist customers with the fitting rooms and putting away unwanted items. Carry product to a customer’s vehicle.

Accept customer donations. Inspect items quality and determine suitability for sale. Move and organize inventory in the production areas. Answer phones.

High School

Diploma or equivalent.

Experience in thrift, retail, production, sales, or customer service is an asset.

Experience working with a POS system and basic computer applications.

Personal Competencies

Excellent customer service skills. Flexible schedule including working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Contact with other staff, program students, volunteers, and the general public. The work environment reflects the Christ-centered mission of Adult and Teen Challenge, where staff collaborate in ministry-focused work that supports individuals in their recovery journey.
