NORTHERN NISHNAWBE EDUCATION COUNCIL REGISTERED NURSE(S) – Casual Term Pelican Falls First Nations High School Pelican Falls First Nations High School (PFFNHS) in Sioux Lookout requires Casual Registered Nurses to provide health care services and support to students attending PFFNHS. These positions will work on a “Casual” basis between Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through the school calendar.

Salary will be paid hourly for time worked to a maximum of 35 hours per week. Provide medical health services to students at the Pelican Falls First Nations High School Assess medical needs of students, determine treatment plans, provide follow up support Refer complex needs to physician or other health qualified(s) Administer medications, provide first aid, assist in emergency situations etc.



Maintain/update on-site clinic and confidential student medical records Work in collaboration and maintain communication with other daytime nursing support Work closely with PFFNHS, PFC and On-Call staff to support students who are “at risk” or “in crisis” Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is mandatory Must be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Certified in CPR and First Aid Ability to assess and provide health care needs to students Fluency in Oji-Cree, Cree or Ojibway is an asset 40.25 to $49.50 per hour, dependant on experience NNEC requires a Criminal Record Check and/or a Vulnerable Sector Check for all positions.
