Classification: Permanent, Full time Rate of Pay: $120,000 – $130,000 Department: Administration Shift/Rotation: N/A Reference: 2026-27 Start Date: As Soon As Possible Job Summary Reporting to the President and CEO, and a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Financial and Corporate Services Officer (CFCSO) is responsible for the Financial and Corporate Services at Atikokan Health and Community Services (AHCS) which includes Family Health Team funding, RAAM clinic funding and Mental Health funding. The CFCSO participates in regular Board meetings and is also the AHCS executive representative to the Hospital Foundation Board.
Requirements Qualifications ~ A recognized accounting designation (CPA) ~3-5 years of Financial Management experience preferably in a healthcare environment. ~ Demonstrated excellence in management, leadership, problem solving and conceptual skills ~ Highly developed interpersonal, project management, and change management skills. ~ Knowledge of Ministry of Health reporting requirements, accreditation standards, and applicable legislations in operating an acute care / long term care facility in Ontario. As well as reporting requirements for Family Health Teams and Mental Health facilities.
Responsibilities Ensures all reporting for HSAA, MSAA, Family Health Team funding agreements are all completed and reported in a timely manner.
Ensure that internal controls and accountabilities are in place to protect the organization’s integrity and assets Develop programs, services, and systems that ensure overall financial health Ensure that AHCS meets its daily operational, capital equipment, and infrastructure needs through careful planning, seamless coordination with departments, and close monitoring of expenditures in alignment with approved budget Conduct annual operational review as part of the budget preparation Responsible for policy development, review, and approval as it pertains to CFCSO department oversight Ensures that funding opportunities outside the regular allotments are researched and utilized as appropriate Oversees all contracts for AHCS, ensuring that signed agreements are based on optimum values, contracts are up to date, and a system is in place for RFPs / RFQs / RFIs for contract transitions Monitor external and internal trends to aid in planning and forecasting Responsible for developing an effective and integrated financial and information systems that meet the requirements of funding organizations Responsible for managing the Health Records Manager, Environmental Services Manager (Dietary, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and IT Departments), Finance Department, and the Procurement Department.
