About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team, strategize, roll up their sleeves, and help shape the next stage of our organization. A leader who can focus on mobilizing the organization, who can turn strategy into execution, remove barriers, and ensure priorities move forward. This is an operating role, not an administrative or advisory one.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a highly visible, hands-on executive role. A key focus will be shortening the path from decision to action, implementation to go-live, and commitment to delivery. The COO will play an important role in supporting executive and Board-level reporting, operational performance, strategic initiatives, and organizational priorities.

About the Company:

Founded in 2012, MetricAid serves hospitals and physicians globally across Canada, The US, the UK, and Australia, blending cloud software with dedicated client service Management.

What You'll Do

Mobilize Operations & Drive Execution

· Lead the Company's day-to-day operations, ensuring teams are aligned, decisions are acted upon, and work moves efficiently across functions.

· Translate strategic priorities into clear operating plans, accountabilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes, while driving the organization to deliver against them.

· Establish the processes, systems, and operating rhythms needed to increase speed, consistency, accountability, and delivery capacity as the organization grows.

· Identify operational bottlenecks, hand-offs, and barriers to execution and remove them through practical, timely solutions.

· Ensure leaders and teams understand what they own and are accountable for delivering.

· Create a culture where commitments have clear owners, decisions lead to action, and execution is visible and measurable.

Build for Scale, Speed & Delivery

· Help evolve the organization into a scalable, high-performing business that can execute consistently without losing its entrepreneurial speed and responsiveness.

· Assess where additional structure is needed and where flexibility and agility should be preserved.

· Challenge processes that add friction without adding value, and continuously look for ways to simplify, accelerate, and improve how work gets done.

· Lead initiatives that improve speed, efficiency, quality, consistency, and scalability, with a clear focus on measurable business outcomes while identifying ways we can continue to provide cutting edge support to our clients and partners.

· Help strengthen organizational planning, performance measurement, and decision-making.

· Ensure our people, infrastructure, systems, and processes are ready to support growth, accelerate implementation, and deliver consistently at scale.

· Optimize the end-to-end client implementation and service delivery lifecycle, identifying opportunities to reduce delays, eliminate unnecessary hand-offs, clarify ownership, and shorten time-to-value for new and existing clients.

· Work across teams to ensure the organization can effectively absorb new business and translate client commitments into coordinated, timely delivery.

Lead People & Culture

· Partner with the CEO, leadership team, and HR to build a high-performing, accountable, collaborative organization where teams are aligned around delivery and outcomes.

· Develop leadership capability and optimize organizational effectiveness, team structures, capacity, and ways of working.

· Establish explicit expectations around performance, ownership and accountability, communication, and follow-through. Ensure teams have the clarity, capacity, tools, and decision-making authority required to execute effectively.

· Work with the CEO, HR, and leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and succession. Help assess whether the organization has the right people, roles, capabilities, structure, and accountability to meet current and future delivery requirements.

· Help employees understand and successfully navigate the Company's continued evolution.

Drive Business Performance

· Work with the CEO and finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and business performance.

· Develop, align, and monitor action-oriented KPIs and operational dashboards that provide visibility into execution, client delivery, implementation, capacity, and business performance.

· Identify opportunities to improve team capacity, productivity, resource utilization, implementation speed, service delivery, and overall business performance.

· Use operational data and performance indicators to identify where execution is slowing down and mobilize the appropriate teams to address it.

· Ensure operational decisions are aligned with customer needs, financial objectives, and strategic priorities.

Support Governance & Risk Management

· Provide the CEO and Board (as required) with clear, decision-useful operational insights on performance, execution, risk, and priorities. Provide recommendations, and escalation of significant issues.

· Support preparation of operational reporting and materials for the Board of Directors.

· Ensure operational risks are identified, appropriately managed, and escalated.

· Work collaboratively with appropriate leaders and subject-matter experts regarding healthcare, privacy, security, compliance, quality, and other sector-specific requirements.

What We're Looking For

You are an operator first. You don't simply identify what needs to change, you mobilize people to make it happen. You are an experienced operational leader who knows how to make organizations work better. You bring:

· 7+ years hands-on progressive experience in a senior operations, executive, general management, or COO-level role.

· Strong experience in healthcare technology, SaaS, digital health, health information technology, or a related environment.

· Post secondary education in a related field or a combination of experience and education equivalent to the requirements of this position.

· Applied knowledge in a regulated or privacy-sensitive industry.

· Experience leading a growing or evolving organization through increased structure, complexity, and scale through organizational transformation, operational scaling, or business process modernization.

· Strong experience in operational optimization, process improvement, organizational design, team effectiveness, and performance management.

· Demonstrated experience improving implementation, service delivery, operational throughput, or time-to-value in a growing organization.

· Advanced business and financial acumen.

· Demonstrated success mobilizing teams, translating strategy into action, and delivering measurable operational results.

· Experience leading cross-functional teams and organizational change.

· The ability to work effectively with executive leadership and a Board of Directors.

· Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· The confidence to challenge assumptions and the judgment to know when to do so.

· A practical, collaborative leadership style that builds accountability without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

· A track record of getting things done, particularly in environments where priorities compete, processes are evolving, and cross-functional execution is critical.

The Leadership Style We're Looking For

This role isn't about creating process for the sake of process. It is about creating an organization that can move.

The COO will bring a bias to action, with a strong focus on execution, accountability, problem-solving, and delivery. This is a leader who sees a problem and asks, What is preventing us from solving it? Who needs to be involved? What decision needs to be made? And how do we get this moving?

It's about knowing where structure creates value, where it creates friction, and how to build an organization that can do both: operate with discipline and remain entrepreneurial when it makes sense to do so.

You'll need to be strategic enough to see the big picture, operational enough to get into the details, decisive enough to move things forward, and collaborative enough to bring people with you.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who believes that accountability and culture can and should work together.

Why This Chance?

You'll be joining a company with an established history, a strong foundation, and an opportunity to help shape what comes next. If you are an operational leader who enjoys turning strategy into action, building high-performing teams, improving how organizations work, and creating the infrastructure that allows good businesses to become great ones, this could be the opportunity for you.

Values

Our four values are Passion, Excellence, Authenticity, and Kindness.

Compensation & Benefits

· Competitive Compensation ($130,000-$145,000) and Benefits

· Onsite parking

· Paid Time Off

· Company Events

· Professional Development Budget
