Child and Family Support Practitioner Temporary 1 Year Contract, 1.0 FTE Enviros is an innovative social services agency that provides critical, individualized programs to children, youth, adults, and families in vulnerable situations to meet their desired outcomes and wellness. The Connects

Program is a four-bed Live-In Program for youth ages 6-12 years who have status with Children's Services. The intention of the child’s stay is to create a sense of safety where children can learn to name their feelings and create new ways of coping, to create a sense of community, become active in physical activity and play that is age appropriate. As well as working through childhood trauma and challenging behavior so that the child can be successful in maintaining future foster placement or a successful transition back to their family (parental or kinship setting).

Programming at Connects focuses on cultivating a sense of belonging, providing structure and routine that builds on age-appropriate life skills and staying physically active in the community.

The Connects

Program provides children with a safe and nurturing environment; The Position - Child and Family Support Practitioner The Child and Family Support Practitioner provides supervision and support to young people residing in the program and is a member of the team ensuring treatment plans are implemented.



All workers are expected to assist with daily household routines and chores, minor facility maintenance and direct child support. Child and Family Support Practitioners must have good working knowledge of computer programs and skilled with basic office applications as there are daily administrative tasks as well as case management tasks as part of this role.

This is a 1.0 FTE Temporary 1 Year Contract role working 40 hours a week, Tuesday-Saturday. (Tuesday-Friday 7-3pm, Saturday 3-11pm) Strong relationship-building skills that foster trust and collaboration. Creative and collaborative team contributor with excellent organizational abilities. Adaptable and flexible in dynamic, fast-changing environments.

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should have minimally a degree/diploma in the Human Service field, experience with youth in a group living environment; Current First Aid and CPR C Current Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sectors Designation Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clear driving record.
