Worker or Psychotherapist Clinical / Health Status: Independent Contractor ~ In partnership with Peel Children’s Aid Society, TELUS Health is seeking a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist to provide counseling to children, youth, and families facing complex challenges such as abuse, family conflict, domestic violence, trauma, grief, mental health, and substance use concerns. This is a purpose-driven opportunity to deliver meaningful care that supports resilience, healing, and long‑term well‑being, while advancing equitable access to services in racialized and marginalized communities. Sessions are conducted either at the provider's private practice location or at a Peel Children's Aid Society (PeelCAS) office.

In this impactful role, you will work alongside TELUS Health’s Government Services team, delivering individual, family, and couple counselling to clients referred by Peel CAS. Services are offered in‑person and virtually, with a focus on Arabic‑language support to meet the linguistic and cultural needs of our clients. Provide timely, clinically sound intake, assessment, and counselling services to referred clients.

Deliver short-to-medium‑term therapeutic interventions (approx.



Act as a case manager—connecting families to community resources and advocating for their access to necessary supports. Conduct ongoing risk assessments and safety planning as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities

Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation. Follow TELUS Health’s protocols for case scheduling, confidentiality, and clinical recordkeeping. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline.

Ontario

College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). At least two (2) years of post‑graduate clinical experience with: Children, youth, and families experiencing complex mental health and relational issues Trauma, grief, domestic violence, and abuse Mandated clients and families involved with child protection services Substance use and risk assessment Understanding of anti‑racism, racial trauma, and anti‑oppressive, equity‑centered frameworks. CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution‑Focused Therapy, ARC Framework, IFS, and other trauma‑informed models.
