Because we believe new civil design engineers gain valuable experience by seeing how their team's designs perform in the real world, you can expect to spend your first few years in this hybrid role, working primarily on-site during construction season and in the office during the winter months. To provide well-rounded training, we intentionally structure early-career opportunities to offer experience across our service lines, along with exposure to the technical, communication, project delivery, and leadership skills needed to grow as a professional. Perform as-built surveys for underground utility and roadway projects and assist in project close-out activities.
Work closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Engineers to execute the design and construction documents for our projects. Participate in the design and drafting of grading, stormwater management and infrastructure improvement plans for land development, transportation, and municipal projects, utilizing Autodesk Civil3D. Perform earthwork calculations and surface analysis for earth balance evaluations and contractor payment benchmarks during construction.
