Civil Litigation Lawyer (3–5 Years’ Experience)

Our established and growing law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Lawyer with 3–5 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of litigation matters and will play an active role in managing files, appearing in court, and providing strategic advice to clients.

Responsibilities

- Manage civil litigation files from commencement through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, factums, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare written legal opinions
- Attend examinations for discovery, mediations, pre-trials, and court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
- Develop litigation strategies and assist in preparing matters for trial
- Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements

Qualifications





- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 3–5 years of experience practicing civil litigation
- Strong advocacy, research, and drafting skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
