Reporting to the Chief and Medical Director of Emergency Department, and working closely with the existing Physician Assistant team, under the direction and supervision of a registered Physician, and in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario’s policy on delegation, the Physician Assistant (PA)



provides medical care to patients based on mutually agreed upon guidelines. This position will assist flow through the Emergency department.

As a PA, you will work as part of our team in our high acuity emergency department. Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Efficient computer skills Current Emergency Room PA experience a strong asset Criminal Record Check required Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and personal development Creative problem solver with a solution focus and patient friendly approach Demonstrates commitment to exceptional customer service with patients, families, staff, colleagues and community partners Safety (patient, worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority.
