The role focuses on accurate financial data, efficient processes, and practical insights. This position plays a key role in onboarding current clients to cloud systems and building internal capability by training and developing staff. Client accounting & reporting Maintains full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions using cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, Wagepoint, etc) Records transactions, reconciles accounts, and ensures data accuracy and completeness Reviews, reconciles and organizes historical accounting records for catch-up and clean-up projects Leads onboarding of new clients into cloud accounting services Cleans up historical data and establishes accurate opening balances Identifies trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data Responds to client inquiries and resolves accounting issues in a timely manner Maintains audit‑ready files and supporting documentation Assists with T4s, WCB, HST/GST filings, payroll remittances,



and other compliance tasks Supports year-end file preparation and coordination with tax and assurance teams Build high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, performance management and knowledge sharing.

Lead practice and professional development initiatives that strengthen technical capability, consistency, efficiency and collaboration across the firm. Support continuous improvement by advancing firm processes, innovation and operational effectiveness. Training & Staff Development Delivers training on cloud systems, workflows, and bookkeeping standards Contributes to development of internal SOPs and training materials Diploma or degree in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or related field is considered an asset. ~2–5 years of bookkeeping or cloud accounting experience in public accounting or a similar environment ~ Progress toward or completion of CPA designation is an asset but not required ~ Communicates clearly with non‑accounting stakeholders ~ Strong experience with cloud accounting systems (QuickBooks Online preferred) ~ Experience with CaseWare and desktop accounting software is an asset ~ Advanced Excel skills (data cleanup, pivot tables, basic analysis) ~ Comfort with digital workflows and document management tools We are currently hiring for our office in Guelph, ON Fixed Term, Full-time for 18 months with the possibility of an extension.

Start Date: Flexible, September or October.

September to June: Monday to Friday, standard hours are 7.5 hours per day. Hours increase during peak season, January to April. 29 - $41 per hour.
