Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead to lead SAP technical initiatives, coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams, and ensure successful execution of SAP projects and production support activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP technical delivery, sprint execution, requirements tracking, incident and change management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder coordination.

The SAP Technical Lead will work closely with engineering, DevOps, business, and other technology teams to drive technical solutions, resolve issues, manage dependencies, and ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and coordinate SAP technical projects, enhancements, releases, and production support activities.



Drive sprint planning and execution, ensuring deliverables are completed within defined timelines.



Track and manage business and technical requirements, dependencies, action items, and project milestones.



Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver SAP solutions.



Lead incident, problem, and change management activities, ensuring timely resolution and effective root-cause analysis.



Identify technical and delivery risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation and contingency plans.



Provide technical guidance and leadership to SAP development and support teams.



Coordinate deployment activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.







Support release management, defect resolution, production deployments, and post-production validation.



Monitor technical deliverables and ensure adherence to architecture, security, coding, testing, and operational standards.



Facilitate technical discussions, status meetings, sprint reviews, and stakeholder communications.



Manage cross-team dependencies and proactively address delivery blockers.



Prepare and communicate project status, risks, issues, and technical updates to leadership and stakeholders.



Ensure appropriate technical documentation, process documentation, and knowledge-transfer activities are completed.



Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to improve deployment processes, automation, and operational efficiency.



Support continuous improvement initiatives across SAP delivery and support processes.

Required Qualifications



8+ years of experience in SAP technical development, implementation, integration, or production support environments.



Proven experience working as an SAP Technical Lead, SAP Lead Developer, or equivalent technical leadership role.



Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture, development lifecycle, integrations, and enterprise systems.







Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint execution.



Strong experience in requirements tracking, incident management, change management, and release coordination.



Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate technical, operational, and delivery risks.



Experience coordinating with engineering, DevOps, QA, infrastructure, architecture, and business teams.



Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.



Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.



Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred Skills



Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.



Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and enterprise interfaces.



Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps processes supporting SAP environments.



Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management.



Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar delivery and ITSM tools.



Strong understanding of SDLC, release management, and production support processes.

Candidate Requirements



Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
