We are seeking a talented individual to join our H&B; Consulting team at Mercer as a Health &
Benefits Consultant . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Health &
Benefits Consultant will lead consulting engagements with 500+ life employers regarding their medical, dental, life, disability benefit plans and programs. This role will also negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage for these employers. Leading (or co-leading) complex client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, business placement, benchmarking and other studies Developing sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies and drive the development of tools and solutions to address complex client issues Being accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects Review works related to the actuarial valuation of the obligation and expenses related to post-employment retirement benefits and / or post-employment benefits - using Canadian, U.S. and/or international accounting standards and according to the Mercer standards (optional) BA/BS degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or a related field. Previous experience with large consulting firms dealing with major accounts. At least 5 years' experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefits challenges Expertise and industry reputation in the health &
benefits field Fluency in English and French as the incumbent must communicate with bilingual employees and clientele across Canada Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication,
