12 About the Role: Commercial Director - Upstream Solutions The Team: Canada - Commercial Sales Team We are a team built on a foundation of trust that creates an environment of creativity and empowerment. A key role in the Canada Commercial Sales Team focused on growing our partnerships with our Upstream Canadian clients located in the Calgary area. Build and nurture relationships with S&P; Commodity Insights customers to provide solutions that improve our customer operations and insights.

Working as the lead on your set accounts you will work with your colleagues as part of a team building an account strategy that results in high retention and growth of our business. Multi-faceted position, dealing with all stages of the sales and renewal process. The role is critical to the entire customer journey and will be working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.

Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of industry requirements, market trends, and client requirements. 7+ years of successful sales experience managing major or complex accounts in the Canadian upstream industry/energy markets. ~ Consultative sales and negotiation skills experience, possess high integrity and is proficient in all phases of the selling cycle from need creation, proposal preparation, and negotiation to deal closure. ~ Robust planning and organization skills and ability to prioritize. ~ Some travel is required. Degree with 7+ years of successful sales experience managing major or complex accounts in the Canadian energy markets.



Proven leadership in managing multi-national global and/or strategic accounts, multi-cultural awareness, and regional experience is preferred.
