CIMA+ is expanding its presence in Edmonton to support a growing portfolio of projects throughout Alberta. Our Buildings team is actively involved in healthcare, post‑secondary, municipal, infrastructure, and commercial developments across the region. Joining our team in Edmonton provides a unique opportunity to work on impactful regional projects while contributing to the growth of a local engineering team supported by the technical expertise of CIMA+ offices across Canada.
CIMA+ is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Technologist to join our Buildings team in Edmonton. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of electrical systems for a wide variety of building projects across Alberta. You will work closely with engineers, technologists, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while supporting the continued growth of CIMA+'s local presence in the region.
This role offers a balance of technical design, project coordination, and field engagement, including site visits and construction support for projects throughout Alberta. You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes adaptable work hours, working from home and in our Edmonton AB office. Design, modeling, and drafting lighting, power, communication, security,
and fire alarm system using the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD Supporting electrical design development through drafting, modelling, and implementation of design direction from senior engineers.
Working with seniors to ensure that all aspects of the design are coordinated with other disciplines Assisting with electrical design calculations, equipment layouts, and system coordination under the guidance of senior engineers. Conducting site reviews and field investigations throughout Alberta to support renovation and construction projects. Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.
