AiGC is building a modern, regulated conduct and manage crown agency from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to step into an organization at the earliest stage and shape how our operation comes together. You are a hands-on communications professional with experience developing and executing internal communications plans that inform, engage, and connect employees. You bring a strong background in organizational communications, employee engagement, change communications, and content development, with the ability to align messaging with organizational priorities and culture.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of communications initiatives from planning and execution through to measurement and continuous improvement. The communications coordinator keeps AiGC's employees informed and connected. This is a hands-on, employee-facing role built that will include, but is not limited to: maintaining the intranet, producing internal news content, and supporting or leading internal events.
The person in this role is a strong writer who can take information from across the organization and turn it into content that staff read and find useful. Internal / External Content Produce and develop internal news updates or work with departments on informational updates for all staff, on a consistent basis. Write and edit clear, engaging content in AiGC's voice.
Track what employees read and respond to and adjust the content over time. Draft and edit internal announcements, memos, and messages from leadership as assigned.
Help keep internal messaging consistent with AiGC's broader communications.
Participation and support digital signage content. Support/backfill in the development of social media content and scheduling. Maintain and update the employee intranet on SharePoint. Post news, announcements, resources, and updates, and keep pages current.
Organize content so it is easy for staff to find and navigate. Work with departments to gather, edit, and publish their material. Help plan and run internal events, including town halls, staff meetings, and celebrations.
Coordinate logistics, run of show, invitations, and follow-up communications. Prepare supporting materials such as slides, talking points, and event notices. Help keep internal messaging consistent with AiGC's broader communications.
Take on other internal communications tasks as the team needs them. Design in-house materials to reflect AiGC’s brand such as fact sheets, graphics, etc. Diploma or degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, or a related field.
Five years of experience in communications, content, or writing role. Strong writing and editing skills, with a clean, clear style and excellent grammar.
Experience maintaining an intranet or SharePoint site.
Experience producing a newsletter, bulletin, or other regular content on a set schedule.
Experience supporting events is an asset.
Skilled in software: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, databases such as Asana or Monday and Microsoft suite Standard office hours, with some flexibility required around events and announcements.
