- Execute integrated marketing plans promoting CBC programming and the CBC brand across social, digital, radio and television platforms
- Organize internal and external events, both virtually and in person
- Execute fan engagement, outreach initiatives, brand activations and contests
- Create and execute social media strategies for established and emerging platforms
- Monitor campaigns, analyze performance and optimize content
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to develop creative campaigns
- Research, review and source suppliers for CBC-branded promotional materials
- Research information for special projects, new initiatives and administrative matters
- Perform other related tasks as needed
- Report to the Senior Manager, Communications and Marketing
- Travel as required
Requirements
- Three (3) years’ relevant experience demonstrating superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Working knowledge of a wide range of communications and marketing materials
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work under deadline pressures
- Passion for community and relationship building
- Connection to younger, more diverse communities
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion and a respectful work culture
- Experience in community event logistics and brand activation execution
- Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving ability
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate creativity and good judgment
- Active and highly skilled on multiple digital and social media platforms
- Proficiency and proven ability to write for different channels
- Excellent working knowledge of Google Suite tools: Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Calendar and Meet
- Eye for detail and creative thinking
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, including shift work
- Demonstrated knowledge of local CBC programming
- Knowledge of additional languages including Mandarin, Tagalog, Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish or Indigenous languages considered an asset
- Availability to travel for short periods when required
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or university degree in Communications/Public Relations or Marketing, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Valid driver’s licence and driving record meeting CBC/Radio-Canada insurance requirements
- May be subject to skills and knowledge testing
- Successful candidates must complete a mandatory criminal record check and potentially other background checks
