Community Health Practice Consultant – Permanent, Full time.

Hours: 37.5 hrs/wk (Mon–Fri, 8 am–4 pm, core 9 am–3 pm).

Location: Park Royal office (hybrid) – relocating to North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation land Spring 2027.

The Community Health Practice

Consultant will provide culturally safe education, leadership, and consultation for nurses delivering health services within First Nations communities across British Columbia.

Responsibilities include supporting clinical practice through culturally grounded orientation, skilled practice guidance, and clinical competency assessments; leading the development and implementation of community‑based nursing programs that reflect First Nations cultural principles; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Additional training and education related to public health, community health, mental health, palliative care, wound care, diabetic education (asset). Minimum three (3) years of experience in community/public health nursing providing clinical practice support and education to nurses or a combination of education,



training and professional experience.

Preference for applicants who have worked within First Nations communities. Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP). Current BCCDC certification in immunizations and communicable disease. Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Demonstrates cultural safety beyond training and certification, capable of applying FN cultural safety standards and protocols to ensure accessible care for communities and patients.
