AECOM is seeking a Community Infrastructure/Municipal Graduate for immediate employment in a new position in the Kitchener, ON office.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the delivery of infrastructure to customers primarily within the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.
Support projects including: Sewer and watermain design/replacement /reconstruction. Site servicing design. Potable water pumping, transmission, storage, and distribution systems. Sanitary drainage and pumping. Prepare documentation related to current or prospective projects, including correspondence, reports, proposals, expressions of interest, and specifications.
Perform Contract
Administration duties, including contractor interaction, progress payment certificates, and convene progress site meetings.
Communicate and work with other project team members in Kitchener and other regional offices to provide quality service to clients on projects of varying scope and complexity. Perform financial and budget control duties on projects.
Respond to contractor and public inquiries. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field or equivalent. Design experiencein surface grading, water and sewer pipe networks, and detail design.
Experience in transportation design/reconstruction projects.
Experience in land use planning and land development or site plan preparation and studies.
Experience with the design of trenchless methods for the installation of small and large-diameter watermains and sewers. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation. Familiarity with software for modelling water transmission/distribution systems.
Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment systems. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Proficient with MS Office Suite.Ability to work in field or office conditions.
Relocation is not available for this position. To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
