Join Coast Mental Health as a Community Mental Health Worker, where your support will foster client independence and community integration. This role focuses on part-time outreach and psychosocial rehabilitation. This casual position under the Department Manager emphasizes building rapport with clients through life skills training and access to community resources.
You will help clients develop essential skills for self-care and independent living while maintaining a safe, supportive setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement life skills programs
- Provide psychosocial rehabilitation and support
- Foster connections to community resources
- Maintain records of clients' health changes
- Advocate alongside clients for their rights Requirements:
- Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, and FoodSafe
- Background checks including TB and Criminal Record Clearance
- Understanding of trauma-informed care Bring your expertise in mental health support and advocacy to Coast Mental Health.
