Be a catalyst for change in Richmond as a dedicated Youth Outreach Worker.
Your mission will focus on engaging youth aged 12 to 17 in community outreach and mentorship programs. The City of Richmond seeks a compassionate Youth Outreach Worker to assist youth engaged with the criminal justice system. In this role, you will develop individualized plans, conduct assessments, and connect youth with essential community resources.
Collaboration with families, Richmond RCMP, and local organizations will be essential in fostering positive youth development. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop skilled relationships rooted in trust with youth
- Manage referrals and coordinate with city and youth services
- Assess strengths and barriers to create effective service plans
- Provide individualized mentorship and case support
- Identify programs for youth engagement and growth
Requirements:
- Diploma in relevant social or behavioral sciences
- 2–5 years of directly related experience
- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
- Strong record-keeping and confidentiality skills
