Our rapidly expanding team is seeking an Intermediate Accountant who is enthusiastic about current business growth and can deliver strong results in back-end accounting processes and systems. This role requires a solid working knowledge of GAAP and strong financial analysis skills. Hands-on with day-to-day accounting functions Adaptable in environments with shifting priorities and a deadline-driven setting Assist with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of restaurants Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts, journal entries (including inventory and accruals), and supporting working papers Contribute to the preparation of month-end reporting packages and related financial analysis Support accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments Assist with tax compliance,



including GST/HST/PST returns and coordination with tax preparers and external auditors Mentor and provide day-to-day support to junior accounting staff Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and special projects Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and reporting workflows 3+ years of intermediate accounting experience ~ University degree in accounting; CPA designation (in progress or completed) preferred ~ Solid experience in full-cycle accounting ~ Familiarity with Xero and/or hospitality industry experience is an asset ~ Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), business finance, and applicable tax laws ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days on-site at our Vancouver, BC office.
