Machinist Job Schedule: Day Shift Inspect, repair, machine and modify CF-18 components in the machine shop. Manufacture, machine and modify special tools. Support the manufacturing of metal tubes used on the CF-18 aircraft. Attend training / information sessions as required.

Keep Lead

Hand or Supervisor informed on technical problems, schedule problems, additional requirements and technician’s welfare.

Follow Tool

Control rules and regulations. Complete forms, aircraft registers and other documentation properly and as required. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post‑Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Training in the use and/or programming of manual, semi‑automated or automated tools and machines. (Lathes, CNC, Milling machines, etc.) Know how to read and understand instructions and technical drawings. Knowledge of SAP. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Good oral and written communication skills in both languages (French and English). The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements. Endorsement on CF188 (asset).

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.



Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
