The depth of our resources is evident in the variety of projects we construct; from water filtration to wastewater treatment; Under the direction of Civil Superintendent the Cement Finisher is responsible for waterproofing, grouting, finishing, cutting & coring concrete, floor pouring, stain removal and cleaning, curing concrete, floor leveling, finishing, high tolerance finishing and slab installation. This position requires knowledge of the heavy construction industry.Specifically the practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, quality control and safety associated with this industry.

The Cement

Finisher must be proficient at the following tasks: concrete finishing for heavy construction concrete products. NAC is currently seeking a full time Concrete Finisher / Skilled Labourer , initially based on our Dalewood Water Reclamation Facility project in St. Temporary travel will be required within Southern Ontario.





Dry concrete finishing: concrete chipping and patching, grinding concrete and sack rubbing walls to receive paint Apply grout mixing/mixes and possess sound knowledge of grouting materials Waterproofing, grouting, finishing, cutting & coring concrete Curing concrete, floor leveling, finishing, high tolerance finishing and slab installation Observe and comply with all health and safety regulations and ensures any apprentices under your direction comply Contribute and participate in the effective use of the Quality Control System Construct and/or assemble and dismantle scaffolding as required Handle and transport job materials to the work area as needed Must have 3-5 years of experience in 'dry concrete finishing' in the heavy construction industry, including; grinding and chipping concrete, patching and repairing cone holes and sack rubbing walls Must be 'fit tested' with a respiratory-mask Concrete pouring & wet finishing experience Experience on 7 meter high walls is an asset Comprehensive benefit plan (dental, vision, health, etc.) Employee & Family Assistance Program Excellent company matched pension plan Registered Retirement Savings Plans Community involvement opportunities If you feel that you need accommodations during the recruitment and selection process because of illness/disability, please contact Human Resources for further information #
