Currently, we are seeking qualified and motivated Construction Miners to join our growing team in Sudbury, Ontario. The individuals selected for these positions will be required to provide a full range of underground construction services while working according to work procedures and company policies and ensuring efficient operations within a safety conscious environment. Build form work, install rebar, and place concrete for the various underground construction projects Install structural steel for various underground construction projects Complete installation of ground support and rock dowels to support underground construction activities Installation of various mechanical equipment - overhead cranes, gates, hydraulics, etc.
Operating a jackleg, stopper, air tuggers, moving hoist and other underground mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissor trucks and utility vehicles Inspecting work headings and construction for compliance to code, regulations, and standards and reporting any deficiencies or unsafe condition Must have Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002 & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation Specialty module U0086 considered an asset.
Experience in welding and fabrication is considered an asset. Transferable skills from other construction work will be considered, including carpentry, concrete work, and equipment operation Must have a minimum of 1 year underground construction experience Demonstrated experience with maintenance and installation of crushers, conveyors, grizzlies,
chutes, feeders, non-electrical mine services etc. would be an asset Must be willing to work at any of the underground mine sites that Technica operates at Working at Technica means choosing a safe environment where no one employee is more important than the other, and where we prioritize people over projects.
