Airswift is seeking a Plant Operator to work on a contract basis with a major Oil & Gas client in Bonnyville, AB.

Operator role is a senior operations position focused on the safe, productive operation of processing facilities , coordination with maintenance and control room personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Core Responsibilities

Work closely with the Control Room Technician (CRT) , Operations Supervisors, and Maintenance teams. Ensure all activities are conducted according to Safety, Health, Environmental, Security, and OIMS requirements . Monitor and operate plant equipment, including sulfur recovery operations .

Support start-up, commissioning, and systems completion activities. Review maintenance work packages and verify isolation requirements before work begins. Act as Area Operator (AO) and, when required, Isolating Authority (IA) for work permits.

Participate in emergency response activities. Maintain operational logs and shift handover documentation. Make process adjustments to maintain product quality. Perform field-based activities, including equipment surveillance, inspections, climbing, lifting, and minor maintenance work.

Promote strong collaboration between Operations and Maintenance teams.
