Join the IIPCT Clinic team as a Contract Registered Practical Nurse, focusing on comprehensive health and wellness care for clients with an Indigenous perspective. This 6-month position involves hands-on nursing and advocacy to enhance client outcomes. In this nursing role, you will address clients' health needs through assessment, counseling, and education.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to implement health promotion programs aimed at individuals and families. Your expertise in foot care, health assessments, and experience with Indigenous populations will enhance the care delivered to clients living with chronic conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments and triage
- Advocate for equitable access to health services
- Document clinical encounters in electronic records
- Implement health education and counseling programs
- Provide specialized foot care services to diabetic clients
Requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
- 2 years of experience in healthcare settings
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Advanced Foot Care Training is an asset
