Origin at Spring Creek is seeking a Cook in Canmore, AB. We have two positions available.

Terms of Employment

Wage: 22.00/hour

Position: Full-time, Permanent.

Vacation: 2 weeks

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to hotel recipes.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to company recipes using various kitchen equipment.
- Precook necessary ingredients as well as pre-assemble dishes and ingredients with appropriate portions.
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food.




- Coordinate the work activities of kitchen staff.
- Prepare weekly work schedules and requisitions for commissary meats and other food items.
- Engage in the inventory of food items and prepare estimates of quantities of food items to be prepared.
- Monitor and order supplies as required.
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality.
- Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.

Education and Experience

- Must have completed high school;
- Must have at least 2 years of commercial cooking experience;
- Must be able to multi-task and plan ahead.
- Must be able to communicate in English;
- Must have excellent communication and organization skills.
