We value the hard work of our entire workforce and support them with a culture of collaboration and respect. is seeking a Coordinator, Strategic Commercial Partnerships to support the development and execution of strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, funding initiatives, and economic development projects emerging from Canada’s rapidly evolving energy economy. Working across the Lake Ontario Energy Corridor (LOEC) — a region extending from the Greater Toronto Area to Cornwall — the coordinator will play an important role in identifying, supporting, and advancing opportunities connected to Ontario’s energy transition and infrastructure growth.



The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Indigenous Nations, economic development corporations, government organizations, utilities, investors, developers, educational institutions, and industry partners to create meaningful economic opportunities that support Indigenous participation, Nation-building, and long-term prosperity.

This position is ideally suited for an individual who is passionate about Indigenous economic development, strategic partnerships, and clean energy opportunities and who enjoys building relationships, coordinating initiatives, and helping turn emerging opportunities into impactful partnerships.

Nations and Indigenous economic development corporations Federal and provincial governments Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) Nuclear, electricity, renewable natural gas (RNG), and clean energy developers Research emerging commercial, investment, and partnership opportunities within Canada’s evolving energy sector. Identify opportunities for Indigenous participation, ownership, procurement, and joint ventures. Support the preparation of business cases, investment materials, presentations, and commercial proposals.

Support advocacy initiatives focused on Indigenous participation and rights-holder-focused procurement opportunities. Nuclear energy and nuclear supply chains, including SMRs, CANDU reactors, and isotopes Monitor and assess relevant federal, provincial, utility, and industry funding opportunities. Nuclear sector development Indigenous economic development Workforce development and training Nuclear energy Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) Supporting collaboration among Indigenous Nations, municipalities, utilities, educational institutions, and private-sector organizations.

Assisting with industry forums, conferences, engagement sessions, and partnership-building activities. Contributing to the development of the LOEC as a nationally significant hub for energy investment, innovation,



and Indigenous economic participation. Postsecondary education in business, economics, Indigenous studies, public policy, economic development, community development, engineering, environmental studies, or a related discipline; Indigenous economic development ~ Community economic development ~ Grant writing and funding administration ~ Project coordination ~ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. ~ Solid relationship-building skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Experience working with First Nations, Indigenous organizations, economic development corporations, or Indigenous-owned businesses. Familiarity with Ontario’s energy sector, including utilities, LDCs, nuclear energy, renewable energy, RNG, or infrastructure development. Understanding of Indigenous participation in major projects and economic reconciliation initiatives.

Experience engaging with government representatives, senior executives, industry partners, and community organizations. Passionate about Indigenous economic development, Nation-building, and creating meaningful community impact. Comfortable engaging with Chief and Council, senior executives, government officials, and industry leaders.

Interested in Canada’s future energy economy and the growing role of Indigenous ownership and participation. Able to identify opportunities where partnerships, funding, policy, and business development intersect.
