Your Part in It

We have an opening for an Ocean Import Coordinator to join our Ocean Import department at Traffic Tech Headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. The role involves coordinating and executing the movement of freight across the globe in accordance with customer needs, supporting our growing international team.

What The Job Entails

- Coordinate and monitor incoming ocean freight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Handle all necessary import documentation, including bills of lading, customs clearance forms, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth import operations.
- Proactively track shipments and provide status updates to customers, addressing any delays or issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate clearance processes and resolve any issues related to import documentation or duties.
- Update internal systems with shipment details, ensuring all information is recorded accurately for reporting and tracking purposes.
- Identify and address any discrepancies, delays, or problems related to ocean imports, working proactively to find solutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide customers with accurate quotes, shipment details, and post‑shipment support.
- Work with systems such as CargoWise and Microsoft Office Suite to manage shipment data, generate reports, and ensure process efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

- 2+ years of experience in ocean import, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- Knowledge of international freight documentation processes is an asset.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and carriers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CargoWise or other logistics software is an asset.




- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluency in both English and French is required.

Vous serez responsable d’assurer que le mouvement des marchandises à travers le monde est coordonné et exécuté avec succès en fonction des besoins de nos clients, soutenant notre équipe internationale en pleine croissance.

Vos Responsabilités

- Coordonner et suivre les expéditions maritimes entrantes, garantissant une livraison rapide et efficace.
- Gérer toute la documentation d’importation nécessaire, y compris les connaissements, les formulaires de dédouanement et autres documents réglementaires.
- Servir de point de contact principal pour les clients, transporteurs,



courtiers en douane et équipes internes afin d’assurer des opérations d’importation fluides.
- Suivre proactivement les expéditions et fournir des mises à jour aux clients, traitant tout retard ou problème éventuel.
- Assurer la conformité avec les réglementations internationales en matière de transport, les exigences douanières et les politiques de l’entreprise.
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les courtiers en douane pour faciliter le processus de dédouanement et résoudre toute problématique liée à la documentation ou aux droits d’importation.
- Mettre à jour les systèmes internes avec les détails des expéditions, veillant à l’exactitude des informations pour le suivi et les rapports.
- Identifier et résoudre toute anomalie, tout retard ou problème lié aux importations maritimes en recherchant des solutions proactives.
- Collaborer avec les départements internes pour fournir aux clients des devis précis, des détails d’expédition et un support après l’expédition.
- Utiliser des outils tels que CargoWise et Microsoft Office Suite pour gérer les données d’expédition, générer des rapports et assurer l’efficacité des processus.

Ce Que Nous Recherchons

- 2+ ans d’expérience en import maritime, en transit international ou en logistique.
- La connaissance des processus de documentation du fret international est un atout.
- Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et en communication pour collaborer avec les équipes internes, les clients et les transporteurs.
- Maîtrise de Microsoft Office ; expérience avec CargoWise ou un autre logiciel logistique est un atout.
- Esprit analytique et capacité à s’adapter à un environnement dynamique et en évolution rapide.
- Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français requise.
