Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Corporate Secretary at Africa Invest Holdings.
The Corporate
Secretary intern will support governance and compliance processes, including preparing board and committee materials, drafting minutes, and maintaining corporate records and registers. The role will involve coordinating meetings, assisting with scheduling, distributing agendas, and tracking action items for senior leadership and project teams. The intern will help review and organize legal and regulatory documentation, support filings, and ensure adherence to internal policies and governance frameworks. Day-to-day tasks may also include assisting with stakeholder communications, preparing reports and presentations,
and supporting cross-functional projects related to corporate governance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Governance and compliance skills, including knowledge of corporate governance principles, record-keeping practices, and familiarity with board and committee processes.
- Administrative and organizational skills, such as meeting coordination, calendar management, document organization, and attention to detail in handling corporate records.
- Communication skills, including robust written and verbal communication, ability to draft minutes, reports, and correspondence, and professional stakeholder interaction.
- Analytical and research skills, including the ability to review legal, regulatory, and policy documents, summarize key points, and support preparation of governance materials.
- Technical skills, including proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace), online collaboration platforms, and secure document management systems.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Law, Business, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field, with interest in corporate governance and investment environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- Interest in African markets, sustainable impact, and responsible investment; prior exposure to international business or emerging markets is an asset.
Manage and oversee company brand presence in all social media platform and plan and execute targeted digital campaigns. Improve SEO search by building quality keyword search and optimize the website rankings across platforms. Provide engagement for targeted audience by po 3-4 times in a week
