This essential role, guided by the Settlement and Family Support Director, is for those with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-2 years of counseling experience.
Your focus will be to provide settlement services that help clients navigate the complexities of adapting to a new life. Fluency in clients’ languages enhances service delivery and relationship building. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate initial settlement services for immigrants
- Guide clients towards self-sufficiency through counseling
- Provide services in clients’ native or common languages
- Liaise with other community services for comprehensive support
- Engage in continual professional training opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, or psychology
- 1-2 years of experience in counseling
- Acceptable alternative qualifications considered
- Training in life skills counseling beneficial
- Solid commitment to multicultural service delivery
