Join a supportive non-profit counselling practice at Navera Community Connections! We are hiring a Master's level Counsellor to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive counselling to diverse clients. Navera is a nonprofit organization that enriches the lives of the people that we serve by navigating challenges and creating possibilities. We do this through early learning centres, counselling and mental health services, and a range of community programs.

Location: Navera office and other designated community counselling sites 5 days/week, with 1 evening, during Navera hours of operation Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed counselling to a diverse caseload of clients including individuals, couples, children, youth, and families. Work collaboratively across the organization and with external partners to advance Navera’s mission, shared initiatives, and create meaningful community impact. Master’s degree in social work, counselling psychology, or related discipline preferred.

Certification is required with an accredited third-party professional association, such as Registered Social Worker (RSW), Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), R.Critical Incident Debriefing training would be an asset.

Certification in Play Therapy would be an asset.



Clinical experience providing counselling to a diverse range of clients, including adults, children, youth, families, and caregivers (minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred). Demonstrated experience counselling individuals from diverse and historically marginalize communities, including Indigenous, 2SLGBTQI+ and newcomers.

Couples counselling experience is an asset. Knowledge and experience in the following areas would be an asset: Child and Family systems Proficiency with MS Office and electronic client record systems. Flexible, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Acceptable results from a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this role. Join a team committed to community impact, equity, and innovation. Regular internal supervision is provided by on-site Clinical Supervisor/Director of Service Delivery, and external supervision and meaningful training and career development opportunities are provided.
