The Mental Health Emergency Services

Unit (MHESU) is a vital part of Unity Health Toronto, focusing on crisis intervention and stabilization of patients with mental health challenges. As a Registered Nurse, you will be pivotal in conducting assessments and providing comprehensive nursing care. This role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform rapid mental health assessments and interventions
- Stabilize patients in emergency settings
- Provide direct transitional care and support




- Collaborate with emergency department and psychiatric teams
- Uphold patient dignity and family involvement in care

Requirements:

- Registered in positive standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years acute care mental health experience
- Ability to acquire C.N.A Certificate in Psychiatric Nursing
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Effective critical thinking and patient engagement skills
