Join Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services as a K’Chitwa Kwe/Shkaabewis (Helper). Support the enhancement of cultural services within the Anishinaabe community and provide direct assistance. Located in BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, this full time contract role extends to March 31, 2027.
You will assist the Anishinaabe Aadziwin Supervisor while engaging with cultural services critical to the community. Ideal candidates will have a college diploma in Social Services or Native Studies and three years of experience in social services. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cultural service practices for the agency
- Support the development of community-related programs
- Engage with members to promote Anishinabek traditions
- Provide direct and indirect cultural services as required
- Help enhance the agency's cultural service delivery
Requirements:
- Diploma in Social Services or Native Studies
- Three years' experience in social services
- Knowledge of Anishnawbek culture and traditions
- Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver's Licence
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check
