Cyber Risk and Compliance Generalist (10+ years) to lead SOX compliance and NIST Cybersecurity Framework engagements

Join a consulting-focused cyber security environment delivering cyber risk, compliance, and governance services across multiple client industries. This role leads SOX compliance programs, cybersecurity assessments aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, privacy reviews, and internal control evaluations while partnering with executive stakeholders on risk management and remediation strategies. The position also supports proposal development, solution design, and expansion of cyber risk and compliance service offerings.

Hours: 10-20/Week

6 Month Contract + Extension

BC or Toronto

Must Haves

- 10+ years in Cyber Risk , internal audit, external audit, or internal controls advisory
- SOX , SOC 2 , and NIST Cybersecurity Framework compliance engagements
- Background with a Big Four or national consulting firm
- CPA , CISA, and/or CISSP designation
- Post-secondary education and qualified experience aligned to cyber risk, compliance, or audit advisory

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with financial reporting and regulatory control standards
- Exposure to cloud security considerations
- Experience supporting proposal preparation and solution development

Responsibilities

- Lead cyber risk, compliance, internal audit, and advisory engagements for client organizations
- Plan and manage client engagements including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Conduct risk assessments, control evaluations, walkthroughs, compliance reviews, and testing activities
- Develop reports, findings, and executive-level presentations communicating risks and recommendations
- Provide strategic guidance regarding SOX compliance, cybersecurity frameworks, privacy obligations, governance practices, and risk management programs
- Support business development activities including proposal preparation, solution development, and client presentations
- Contribute to practice development initiatives including methodologies, templates, tools,



and service offerings
