About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Data Analytics Intern on behalf of one of our clients in Canada. This opportunity is suitable for individuals looking to build practical experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

The selected candidate will work on practical projects involving data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting while gaining exposure to industry-standard analytics tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, organize, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and potential business insights.
- Prepare analytical reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Develop data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Assist in creating and maintaining recurring reports and performance dashboards.
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support analytical requirements.
- Use SQL to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from databases.
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify meaningful business trends.
- Assist with data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies in datasets.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
- Document analytical processes, methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
- Participate in practical data analytics projects aligned with real-world business requirements.

Requirements





- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, diploma, or certification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization concepts.
- Familiarity with Excel and SQL.
- Basic understanding of databases and data structures.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
- Willingness to learn new analytics tools and technologies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with SQL queries, joins, aggregations, and data filtering.
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts.
- Exposure to data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory data analysis.
- Knowledge of business intelligence and KPI reporting is an advantage.
- Experience working on academic, personal, or practical analytics projects is a plus.
