The Demand Planner is responsible to coordinate and oversee our planning, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and timely fulfillment of products from our vendor base across the organization, though with a majority focus on Bayshore Specialty Rx. The individual will work closely with our Intake, Fulfillment, Logistics and Inventory Control teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of client orders, optimize order sequencing by geographic region, and drive effective demand forecasting to support future fulfillment needs. Monitor on-hand inventory to ensure sufficient stock for timely order fulfillment; proactively flag shortages to the Purchasing team.
Assign geographic tags to orders to support productive routing and optimized picking and delivery sequencing. Analyze order volumes and identify opportunities to consolidate customer orders across delivery dates to improve efficiency and reduce transportation and labour costs. Monitor inventory levels and usage trends to forecast demand, establish appropriate safety stock levels, and support replenishment planning.
Manage inventory impacts of cancelled or modified orders, ensuring accurate stock adjustments and reallocation. Oversee the assembly and maintenance of product kits, including forecasting usage, monitoring component availability, and supporting kit configuration updates.
Conduct cycle counts and support monthly and annual inventory processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
Investigate customer complaints related to order fulfillment, inventory availability, or delivery issues; Partner with cross-functional teams (Intake, Finance, Warehouse Fulfillment, Inventory Control, and Purchasing) to ensure alignment on inventory, demand, and fulfillment priorities. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. Support the inventory and warehouse team as required.
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field a strong asset, or relevant work experience. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse setting with inventory management responsibilities. Advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills. Spend the majority working at desk, with regular movement required throughout the facility on foot, including standing. Primarily in an indoor, temperature-controlled warehouse and office setting.
Employees working in warehouse operations are required to wear and properly use all essential or required personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined by their department leader and in accordance with the employer’s safety requirements.
