Role Description The Deputy Manager role at Läderach is a full-time, on-site position based in Richmond, BC. This role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, including overseeing staff scheduling, supervising sales floor activities, and ensuring a consistently high level of customer service.
The Deputy
Manager helps drive sales performance, manages inventory and merchandising standards, and maintains compliance with company policies and brand guidelines.
Responsibilities include coaching and developing team members,
assisting with onboarding and ongoing training, and resolving customer concerns in a professional and solution-oriented manner. The role also involves monitoring store KPIs, supporting visual merchandising initiatives, and contributing to a clean, safe, and engaging store workplace that reflects Läderach’s premium brand.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail or hospitality management, with skills in team leadership, performance coaching, and staff scheduling.
- Strong customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build relationships, handle inquiries and complaints, and drive upselling and cross-selling.
- Operational skills in inventory control, cash handling, POS systems, and maintaining store presentation and merchandising standards.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse team.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet targets, and respond calmly to unexpected challenges.
- Prior experience in premium retail, food, or chocolate/confectionery environments is an asset.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
