The successful candidate will work with a team of Design Validation Specialists on evaluating the performance of new camera designs intended for release to manufacturing.
In this role you will perform tests, identify performance issues, collaborate with HW and FW teams to find root cause defects and retest to confirm that issues have been addressed.
Environmental, Electrical and Mechanical testing on cameras and other security equipment.
Reproduce and investigate failures, create test reports.
Perform IR illumination testing and image quality related testing on new and existing cameras as needed.
Camera functionality and ease of installation evaluation.
Perform tests on lenses and other optical elements as needed.
Create scripts for test automation using Python.
Diploma in one of the following fields: Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical
Minimum 2 year experience or equivalent expertise in a fast paced engineering development environment in the high tech industry.
Knowledge of basic networking required.
Knowledge of Linux command line operations.
Experience with test automation and creating test scripts using Python is preferred.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience (installation, use or manufacturing) with CCTV products is an asset.
Detail oriented and well organized, positive communicator, able to multitask, able to perform failure investigations, root cause analysis and create clear, easy to understand test reports.

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 CAD
