Work Location: Address: FTE: Employment Type: The Opportunity AgeCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring they receive appealing meals in a welcoming atmosphere. As a Dietary Aide at AgeCare, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
You will assist with the setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup of all meal services. Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner. Assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area as required. Assist with catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events. Assist in the orientation and training of current dietary employees.
Comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures. Food Handler's Certificate is required. Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors.
Must have or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of shift.
Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset. Must be able to provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check,
including a Criminal Record Check, or be willing to obtain one.

Salary: $23.64 per hour Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
