How We Work: Our interprofessional team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, dietitians, outreach workers, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. TheInfrastructure OperationsLead plays a crucial role in supporting the Infrastructure and Operationsteamin various key functions related to corporate services.The Infrastructure Operations Leadis responsible forensuring the smooth operation of these essential services, contributing to the overall efficiency and functionality ofDurham Community Health Centre.This role involves overseeing and coordinating activities such as facilities managementandhealth and safety compliance.Additionally, may be asked toassistorserve on committees or project groups.
Assistthemanagereffectively and efficiently managing all DCHC infrastructure and facilities for business continuity.Ensurean updated business continuity plan exists within the organization. Assistin managingall Capital Infrastructure projects including logistic management of the organization. Assistin thenegotiation of new site leases, relocation and related procurement or contractrenewals.
Support with conductingappropriate engineeringand facility tests/reports to ensure safety and sustainability ofDHCfacilities. Assistin supervisingbuilding design and systemsand building operating systems (HVAC, BAS, Electrical, Access control), with the support of the manager. Ensure that facility maintenance and cleanliness standards are met.
Manage the facilities database,
securitysystemsand access control system(s). Support the manager in designing and implementing required policies. Provides oversighttobuilding operations and contract staff and delegates and followsup ontasks asrequired.
Support special projects orinitiatives asassigned Provide insights into service delivery design, support goal setting, staff performanceenhancementand quality improvement efforts. 3-5 years ofexperience infacilities management,and vendor management, preferably in a healthcareand/or nonprofit setting. ~ Experience with project management or project coordination ~ Fire pumps/fire panels ~ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office
Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), building automation systems (BAS). Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle totravel inbetween sites, asrequired. Be versatile and adaptable. Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for this position.
