The Speech Language Pathologist

Assistant role is part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for supporting the provision of service for children requiring development in the areas including but not limited to: Speech and language delays/disorders, communication and fluency disorders, voice and resonance disorders, swallowing and feeding disorders, cognitive-communication disorders and pre-literacy and literacy skills. Working collaboratively, this position will create a nurturing, inclusive learning setting that meets each child’s unique needs, promoting resilience, growth, and success. The impact you’ll have on the lives of vulnerable children and their families will be more rewarding than you can imagine. Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist, classroom team, families/caregivers and other interdisciplinary team members to determine speech-language needs of identified children Aid in the development of differentiated instruction strategies, including activities and strategies to support speech-language development Regularly meet with and receive feedback from Speech Language Pathologist regarding assigned duties and scope of practice Half of weekly hours providing support to Speech Language Pathologist lead & entire Speech team: Development of materials for classroom teams Provide staff guidance and/or training Intake assessment support to SLPs With strong communication skills, you build trust and foster teamwork while delivering results and maintaining service excellence. Bonus points if you have experience supporting children facing unique challenges or from diverse cultural backgrounds, as this enhances your ability to connect and contribute effectively.

Speech Language Pathologist

Assistant/Rehabilitation Diploma or related training Minimum 1 year experience working with toddlers, and preschool aged children, including working with children with special needs Knowledge and working experience of preschool language delays and disorders and intervention strategies Knowledge of child development and skills in operationalizing treatment interventions including behavior management techniques A love of play-based learning (bonus if you’re great at hide-and-seek!). Regular full-time position working 7.5 hours Monday thru Friday Together, we can help children and families thrive.
