Afternoon Shift (3 pm - 10:30 pm PST) Surrey Schools is the largest school district in BC and the second largest employer in Surrey. Reporting to the Foreperson and Electrical Manager, these positions are responsible for a variety of projects including renovations, repairs, and new installations in over 140 school district sites and offices.

The department requires applicants to be prepared to work effectively in a small team as well as independently to complete top quality work in various District facilities.

Interprovincial Trades

Qualification (TQ) in Electrical with a Red Seal endorsement; A minimum of 4 years' experience in a variety of electrical work; A valid Class 5 BC Driver's license.

Experience and training working on fire alarm systems is considered an asset.

Experience working in an institutional setting is a bonus! This is a unionized position that offers a 37.5 hour work week with an hourly wage rate of $40.65,plus a benefits package: municipal pension, health, vacation & sick benefits.
