Electro-Mechanical Technician Waterdown, ON – All Shifts Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics, ensuring exact execution of assembly and testing procedures. Execute the assembly of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies using precise attention to detail and strict adherence to process, handling chemicals, primers and sealants while following PPE and safety protocols. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including motors, sensors and wire harness assemblies, to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

Investigate and resolve assembly‑level defects by collaborating with senior technicians and engineers, contributing to continuous product development and process improvement. Execute environmental screening, operating thermal chambers and vibration tables, running test scripts, and analyzing performance data to validate system integrity. Effectively manage multiple priorities, balancing assembly, testing and troubleshooting tasks to meet critical project timelines and production goals.

Engage in cross‑functional collaboration, working closely with Operations Engineers, production teams and management to tackle complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions. Handle customer‑owned equipment (as required), performing diagnostic testing, electro‑mechanical repairs and upgrades while ensuring compliance with all quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies in assembly processes, recommending enhancements and implementing best practices to optimize system quality and workflow efficiency.





Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and test procedures.

Experience in assembling, configuring and testing complex electro‑mechanical systems. Skilled in identifying, analyzing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues. Ability to load, configure and verify software on integrated hardware systems.

Proficiency in operating large test equipment for environmental and performance testing. Ability to think critically, identify inefficiencies in processes, suggest improvements and embrace change. High standards in quality with attention to detail, capable of learning and taking on new tasks with increasing responsibility. 3–5 years’ experience in the Mechanical and/or Electro‑mechanical field. ~ Community College diploma in Mechanical Technology or equivalent. ~ Experience with Lean Manufacturing is an asset. ~ College diploma in Electronics combined with demonstrated mechanical aptitude may be considered.
