Solutions Developer – Process Automation

Rate: $55–$65/hr Inc.

Contract: 6 months

Location: Toronto, ON – 160 Front Street West

Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days onsite

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Solutions Developer to build and maintain internal process automation tools supporting operations teams. The role combines front-end development with VBA, SQL Server, MS Access and Excel-based automation, with a focus on simplifying manual processes and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain internal tools and workflow automation solutions.
- Build front-end functionality using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Develop backend functionality using VBA.
- Build and maintain Excel and MS Access solutions, including macros and automation.
- Develop, optimize and troubleshoot SQL Server queries and stored procedures.
- Work with APIs to integrate applications and data sources.
- Support existing production tools and troubleshoot application issues.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes and develop new automation solutions.
- Participate throughout the full SDLC, from requirements and development through testing, deployment and production support.




- Demonstrate completed solutions and clearly explain functionality to business stakeholders.

Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software/code development experience across the SDLC.
- Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience.
- Robust VBA development experience.
- Strong SQL Server, including query optimization and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience developing solutions using MS Access and MS Excel, including macros.
- Experience working with APIs and integration methods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions to business users.
- Strong presentation/demo skills.

- Lean Six Sigma exposure or certification.
